Terms & Conditions
1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Mates Tastes. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
2. How It Works
Mates Tastes provides food packs for group events, fundraisers, and care packs.
- The organiser selects a pack and shares an order link with attendees
- Attendees place their own orders, including payment and food preferences
- Mates Tastes prepares and delivers the food for the event
3. Minimum Orders
Each pack has a minimum number of participants.
- If the minimum is met → order proceeds as planned
- If the minimum is not met → the organiser will be charged up to the minimum order value
This ensures we can prepare and deliver your order efficiently.
4. Payments
- All attendee payments are made through the provided order link
- Orders are only confirmed once payment is received
- Mates Tastes is not responsible for unpaid attendees
5. Changes & Cut-Off Times
- Orders and changes must be finalised at least 3 days prior to delivery
- After this time, changes may not be possible
- Late additions are not guaranteed
6. Dietary Requirements
- Attendees are responsible for submitting their own dietary requirements and food preferences when ordering
- While we take care to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee all requests will be accommodated
Our food is prepared in a kitchen where allergens may be present, and some items are sourced from third-party suppliers. While we take care in preparation, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or the complete accuracy of all ingredient information.
7. Delivery
- Delivery times can be requested when booking. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your preferred time, deliveries may vary slightly depending on scheduling and conditions.
- It is the organiser’s responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the order
- Once delivered, responsibility for food storage and handling transfers to the customer
8. Refunds & Cancellations
- A $100 deposit is required to secure all bookings
- This deposit will be refunded once the minimum order requirement is met, minus the cost of the host’s own meal
- If the minimum order requirement is not met, the deposit may be used toward the cost of food provided or retained to cover preparation and administration costs
- Cancellations must be made at least 3 days prior to delivery
- After this cut-off, refunds may not be available due to preparation and sourcing of food
- Refunds (if applicable) will be processed via the original payment method
9. Fundraisers
For fundraiser packs:
- A portion of each order is allocated to the nominated group
- Payment of funds to the group will be arranged after the event
- Mates Tastes reserves the right to set and adjust fundraising amounts
10. Product Availability
- Menu items may vary depending on availability
- We reserve the right to substitute items with similar alternatives where necessary
11. Liability
- Mates Tastes is not liable for:
- Incorrect information provided by attendees
- Food handling after delivery
- Delays caused by circumstances outside our control
